I grew up in Angier, North Carolina, a small town just outside of Raleigh, in a close-knit family. Since I can remember, I’ve loved anything creative, whether it was drawing, art classes, crafts, or constantly rearranging my room.

I studied Marketing and Supply Chain Management at East Carolina University with a minor in Interior Design. Even though I grew up drawing and creating, I didn’t really start painting until after college. I wanted something creative that felt completely separate from work. Painting became that outlet and eventually something I found myself wanting to spend more and more time doing.

Most of my work is created in a little art house behind my grandparents’ house that was once my dad’s childhood playhouse. My grandparents let me rip out the old carpet, paint the walls, and turn it into a studio of my own. It’s where I’ve learned through trial and error and continue to figure out my style with each piece.

I now live in Raleigh, but my favorite place is the beach. I love spending any weekend I can in Emerald Isle, where I find a lot of inspiration for painting.
